FUME HOOD
Fume Hood or acid cupboard is the place to reacted concentrated or harmful compounds. Acid cabinets are generally a large laboratory funiture with a lower cabinet as a table or anchoring. The acid cabinets will suck all gases formed from chemical compounds or volatile gases by using a motor blower and disposed of in free air. Before being discharged into the air free will enter into a tool called Scrubber. So the fume hood serves to protect personnel from the dangers of inhalation of toxic gases during the testing/research and learning process in the laboratory.
The principle of this acidic cabinet is air sucked from the front of the acid cupboard door, then excreted by the suction blower-towards the exit of the laboratory room. The front door of the fume hood – the acid cabinets can be opened and closed with a self-adjustable sleding (up-down) system, to inject contamination toxic gases. The acid cabinet design is focused to avoid the dangers of mixing water in acid cabinets into laboratory spaces.
